Like to travel light?

Is it a suitcase or is it a backpack? Well, it’s sort of both. The Allpa Travel Pack from Cotopaxi opens up like a suitcase, but its padded shoulder straps and adjustable nylon waist belt give it the carrying comfort of a hiking backpack. Available in three sizes, the 28L version is the lightest and most nimble pack, designed for fuss-free weekends away. The Allpa is carry-on compatible and stacked with useful features for international jaunts. It’s got a range of zippered and sub-divided pockets, including a padded one for electronics and a handy top pocket for your keys and passport. Light as it is, the Allpa 28L is built for the knocks and scuffs of an adventurous life, with a combination of bombproof TPU-coated 1000D polyester and 840D ballistic nylon panelling

    • Adjustable harness system with tuck-away shoulder straps, nylon waist belt and chest strap
    • Suitcase-style zipper opening on the main compartment
    • Large zippered mesh compartment on one side and subdivided mesh compartments on the other
    • Padded sleeve for laptops, tablets and phones
    • Small zippered top pocket for travel essentials
    • Carabiner lash points for extra gear
    • Four grab handles
    • TPU-coated 1000D polyester with 840D ballistic nylon panelling
    • Includes a rain cover
    • Weight: 1474 g
    • Size: 48 x 30 x 23 cm
    • Volume: 28L
    • TPU-coated 1000D polyester
    • 840D ballistic nylon paneling
    • Supports Eco Initiatives - After measuring emissions, Cotopaxi work with CarbonFund and BEF to purchase and offset their carbon emissions
    • Eco Certifications - Cotopaxi is a certified B-Corporation, and hold the highest regard and respect for their employees, communities, and the environment
  • Cotopaxi’s tagline is β€˜gear for good’, and before you roll your eyes at yet another outdoor brand making lofty claims about their eco credentials, these guys really do walk the walk. They’re certified climate neutral, with rigorous ethical manufacturing standards and even a grants scheme that supports organisations fighting global poverty.

They also prioritise the use of recycled and reclaimed materials, which includes some imaginative upcycling – like their β€˜Del DΓa’ range made from repurposed fabrics. Other product lines make use of leftover fabrics discarded by other manufacturers. As well as reducing landfill waste, this also means that the vibrant patchwork-style colourways of many Cotopaxi garments and packs are totally unique.

And that’s the thing about Cotopaxi. Their kit doesn’t just tick the good-guy boxes, it also looks great too – with a retro-inspired aesthetic that channels the best bits of the 80s. Whether it’s a daypack, a bum bag, a windbreaker or a zip-up fleece, their range is built to last and stacked with well-thought-out features for conscientious adventure travellers.

The most versatile travel backpack you'll find on the market
